I'm Lizzi, and because I don't know how else to write a blog at this point, I'm going to start with a little ramble about how I've got here.

I've been obsessed with weddings since I watched The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan and fell in love with Natasha Richardson's character, a wedding dress designer who just happened to share my name. From there I'd spend my free time designing wedding dresses for friends and, lets be real, for myself. Sadly by college it became startlingly apparent that I had no dressmaking skills, and so I decided to pursue graphic design.

During college and uni I became more and more enamoured with the processes of printmaking and the craft involved, and after graduating I was lucky enough to work as a graphic designer in a local printers. As well as producing work digitally, they had an amazing collection of antique letterpress machinery that I was fortunate enough to use...it wasn't long before I was buying my own Adana press and experimenting at home. I now have my own small collection of presses, including a Blockmaster 8 x 5 for hot foil stamping and a treadle press for larger works. After three years, I am now taking the leap and attempting to make a little business doing something that magically manages to combine all of the things that make me happy - printmaking, graphic design and weddings!

My aim with this business is to encourage people to do what the hell they like with their stationery...my style is incredibly eclectic and I love challenging myself to explore new designs and ideas. More and more, Individual style is being prioritised over adhering to tradition, which makes the process so much more enjoyable for everyone involved, including the suppliers.

It's taken a long time for me to develop the confidence to actually take this daydream and turn it into something I'm comfortable with other people seeing and engaging with, and I'm really, truly grateful to anyone who takes the time to read this, visit my site, or (hopefully) place their trust in me as a wedding supplier.
