When should I be sending out my stationery?
It really depends upon the kind of wedding you're having, but if you're having a destination/weekend wedding/getting married in a fabulous place but with very little accommodation nearby then the sooner you can let people know about your plans the better, so that they have enough time to sort out their travel and accommodation plans.
As a guideline, these are approximate timelines for sending out your invites:
Save the dates: 12-18 months before + Formal invitations: 6-3 months in advance
Formal invitations being sent without a save the date: 6-10 months in advance
With this in mind, bespoke stationery orders should be placed at least 2-3 months before you intend to send your invitations out to allow time for the bespoke process, depending on the complexity of your design and print.
Can I order samples?
Absolutely! Depending on the kind of stationery you are after, I can send a sample based on this. There will be a charge of £3.00 which will be deductable from your final bill if you choose to place an order. Sadly due to the nature of letterpress & hot foil, we cannot offer samples that include your details.
How much will it cost?
This is a really tricky one to answer because every single order is different! During an initial consultation we can chat about your budget, and advise on options based upon this.
How long does the ordering process take?
This depends on the complexity of the design and printing that you are after, but below is a general guideline for the time it will take.
Initial Consultation to design: Around 2-3 months. For more simple designs this may be reduced.
Production: Between 2 - 4 weeks, again this depends on the processes involved.
Delivery (UK): This will vary but we send all deliveries via trackable Courier/Royal Mail service, which takes between 24-48 hours. The cost will vary depending on the size and weight of the package.
If we feel that any of these processes will take more or less time than this, we will let you know.
Placing your order & payment
When we send you your design proposal, we will include a quotation that you can look through. Once the order is agreed, we will request a non-refundable deposit of 50%. The design process will then continue until we have reached a final design, and you have confirmed that you are happy to proceed with printing. Before we print, we will kindly ask that the remaining balance is paid.
The delivery process
We send items via a trackable Courier/Royal Mail service depending on your needs. The packages will be insured and can be sent to a more convenient address if for example we send the item during the working week.
Can I order from outside the UK?
Of course! We can discuss your requirements in detail, but please just be aware that delivery times/costs will vary depending on your location, and of course items may be held up at customs. If you would feel more comfortable having the stationery printed by your local printer, then I can offer a design-only bespoke service to you, and either send the artwork directly to you, or to your chosen printer.
