terms and conditions
The bespoke ordering process is outlined on the bespoke process page. We will endeavour to complete your order within the timeframes specified, and will provide a more detailed outline of the expected dates for completion of each stage once we have had an initial consultation. If, however, for any reasonable reason these time frames cannot be adhered to, we reserve the right to amend them accordingly and agree them with the client.
We provide proofs as digital PDFs which we encourage you to check thoroughly. Any changes or alterations made to the designs will be made by us based on your feedback and further proofs will be sent until you are happy with your final proof and have signed it off with written consent (via email). Please note that these PDFs will be compressed and sent as non-editable files in order to protect our copyright.
Where possible we like to accommodate enquiries from clients working to a tighter deadline, so please contact us to enquire and we can let you know if this is possible.
After an initial consultation, a quotation will be provided. In order to confirm your booking, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit. The remaining balance is required to be paid once you have confirmed that the order is correct and ready to be printed.
On both occasions we will send an invoice detailing your order with instructions for payment for you records.
Grammar, wording and checking
It is the responsibility of the client to submit the correct wording and to check it thoroughly for any grammatical/factual/spelling errors before confirming the final proof (getting a friend or family member to double check your order before saying go is always advised!).
We will not begin print production until we have received written sign-off from you confirming that you are happy to proceed with the final proof.
By approving your final proof you accept responsibility for the information, wording and layout displayed in the PDF. If errors are discovered after proof approval, then amended reprints will be treated as a new order & will incur the appropriate charges. However, if an error is made on our part we will replace the items free of charge.
Elizabeth Tyrer will communicate with you via email, or if requested telephone, to complete your order. Please ensure that you keep up to date with our correspondence and respond promptly to ensure that the order can be completed within the agreed timeframes. If for any reason you are unable to respond promptly e.g. holiday, please try to advise us so that we can make suitable adjustments.
Elizabeth Tyrer holds the copyright for all designs. We do not allow copying or reproduction of our designs by you or any third party without our prior written consent.
In the event of an order being cancelled by yourselves Elizabeth Tyrer will not be able to refund any money once work has commenced on your order. In the unlikely event of the order being cancelled by me then you will be given a full refund.
We are happy to provide samples of previous designs and paper examples upon request. Please note that there will be a small fee for this of £3 which will be deducted from your final bill if you place an order. Due to the nature of bespoke design and print, we are sadly unable to provide you with a fully printed sample with your details.
Please note that samples and proofs may not exactly match the finished product due to variations in the print production process. Printing can result in small variations. Minor differences in texture, colour, size and positioning can sometimes occur and are not classed as a fault. Please be aware that colours appear differently on screen as to printing and we advise that you print all your proofs prior to approving them to check sizings, layout etc. Please note that colours printed on your home printer will appear differently than those printed on a professional machine.
Use of Work
Elizabeth Tyrer reserves the right to use samples of your stationery for photographs, portfolio and marketing purposes. This includes photographing and using them on social media and website pages, including them in sample packs and displaying them at wedding fairs and events. If you do not want us to use your samples for future marketing then please notify us.
Items will be sent using either Royal Mail or a suitable Courier Service. Deliveries will be insured, tracked and will require a signature upon delivery, so please ensure that someone will be able to receive the parcel at the address you have specified. We are happy to organise local collection if you live in Chorley, Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
We accept no responsibility for items lost in the post or delayed due to postal strikes or circumstances out of our control.
If you are ordering internationally, we will discuss amended time frames which allow for a longer period between despatch and receipt of the item to your address. Please note that delivery charges will be quoted in your proposal but we cannot account for any additional fees that may be incurred when going through your country’s customs.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch.
